Governor Doctor Helen Tan of the Provincial Government warmly welcomed officials of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) led by President Manuel M. Muhi during their courtesy visit to discuss expanding learning opportunities via educational programs for students in the province this wednesday, July 8.
At the meeting, they discussed the plan to build a PUP campus in the town of Sariaya that offers various academic programs to gain more access to quality and affordable education to even more students.
After the meeting, Governor Tan and PUP officials personally went to a lot that is considered a possible location for the campus to be built located in Brgy. Tumbaga I, Sariaya.
These steps reflect the strong relationship and collaboration between the Provincial Government and said institution in advocating programs that will expand access to higher quality education.
Through this initiative, it is expected that more Quezonian youth will have the opportunity to continue their studies closer to their communities /Hannah Amparo
