Most parts of Luzon and Western Visayas are expected to receive heavy rains due to the prevailing southwest monsoon, or habagat, the weather bureau reported Monday.
Monsoon rains will affect Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the remaining areas of the Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Occidental Mindoro may experience occasional rainfall.
Western Visayas, along with the rest of Cagayan Valley, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur, are expected to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy rainfall in these areas may trigger flash floods and landslides.
Meanwhile, isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms are expected in other parts of the country.
Strong winds and rough sea conditions are also forecast over the northern and western portions of Luzon.
