A Private School in Lucena City Launches Administrative Probe Following Bladed Weapon Incident

Admin July 3, 2026 1 min read

A incident occured on June 29, 2026 in a private school in Lucena, Quezon has confirmed that a Grade 11 student was found carrying a bladed weapon on campus.

However, the school denied the reports circulating on social media claiming that there had been an attempted stabbing involving two students inside the school.

In an official statement, published on June 30, 2026 the school acknowledged that a bladed weapon had entered the campus despite its strict security measures and policies. It clarified, however, that the weapon was neither intentionally used nor actually used to harm anyone.

Although the initial fact-finding investigation has been completed, the school said that an administrative investigation is still ongoing to determine the appropriate disciplinary action against those involved, in accordance with school policies and Department of Education regulations.

Following the incident, the school immediately implemented additional security measures to further strengthen campus safety and ensure the protection of students, teachers, and the entire school community.

The administration also urged the public not to believe or spread unverified information and to avoid posting hate messages, making broad accusations, or drawing unfounded conclusions while the investigation is still in progress /Lee Amion
