The Quezon Provincial Public Employment Service Office (QPPESO) conducted a two-day recruitment activity in Lucena for students and out-of-school youth from Quezon who are seeking financial assistance to support their education.
The activity was attended by students and out of school youth from Lucena who are hoping to secure financial support for their studies through the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES).
The program is a joint initiative of the Provincial Government of Quezon and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). Successful applicants will receive appropriate wages for the services they render. Under the program’s wage–sharing arrangement, 60% of the salaries will be shouldered by the local government, while the remaining 40% will be funded by DOLE.
Throughout the two-day recruitment, QPPESO facilitated the submission and verification of required documents and conducted the screening of qualified applicants. SPES is designed to assist underprivileged but deserving students in continuing their education by providing temporary employment opportunities during school breaks or designated periods of the year.
Meanwhile, recruitment activities will continue in various municipalities and cities across Quezon province in the coming days. Qualified applicants are encouraged to bring all the necessary documents when applying /Phoemella Contreras
