In celebration of the 147th Candelaria Day on August 4, 2026, the Office of Provincial Ve
terinarian through the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Candelaria with the support of the Quezon Veterinary Medical Association (QVMA) conducted a Veterinary Medical Mission to conduct spay and castration.
This program was implemented to promote responsible pet ownership and to ensure the community’s health and safety. As such, a total of 111 dogs and cats were vaccinated against rabies, 231 animals received free consultations, 44 dogs and cats were spayed or neutered, and 194 animal lovers availed of various services.
This activity is a manifestation of the dedication of the City Veterinarians and partnering agencies to the promotion of responsible pet ownership and the achievement of a rabies-free and a healthy, safe, and progressive Candelaria /Mary Salcedo
