
The Lucena Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (LDRRMO) successfully conducted its blood donation drive, themed “Preparing and Taking Action Towards a Safer New Philippines,” on July 18.
This was led by DRRM Officer Janet Gendrano in partnership with the City Health Office and Quezon Medical Center (QMC), the activity aimed to replenish the city’s local blood supply to ensure there will be adequate resources for emergencies, disaster response, etc.
The initiative received a strong support from the representatives of DepEd Lucena, and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Lucena, Coast Guard Station (CGS) Southern Quezon, Kabalikat 888, JODA, Meralco, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and volunteer blood donors from the City of Lucena.
