Thousands of commuters faced heavy traffic and transportation delays Thursday after transport groups launched coordinated protests against rising fuel prices in the Philippines.

Jeepney and bus drivers say continuous oil price increases are making daily operations unsustainable, while passengers complain about rising transportation costs.
