In preparation for the upcoming Quezon Invitational Pickleball Tournament, the Provincial Sports Development Office (PSDO), led by Coach Aris Mercene, convened a coordination meeting on Monday, July 27, at the Conference Room of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Building.
The meeting brought together representatives from various pickleball clubs across the municipalities of Quezon Province, as well as other participating clubs from different areas of the province.
During the discussion, organizers reviewed the tournament’s tentative opening schedule, player eligibility requirements, age-group categories, team composition guidelines, and other competition rules aimed at ensuring a smooth and fair conduct of the event.
Participants also agreed to adopt a district-based tournament format, wherein only the top two teams in each category will advance to the succeeding stage of the competition.
Organizers announced that there will be no registration fee for participants. While freebies will not be provided, prizes will be awarded to winning teams and players.
The coordination meeting was held to finalize policies and guidelines for the successful staging of the first-ever Quezon Invitational Pickleball Tournament.
Meanwhile, the submission of required documents and eligibility requirements for participants will remain open until August 3/Lee Amion
