Come and Experience the Maubanog Festival Again!
The town of Mauban celebrated the Maubanog Festival on July 9 with a variety of events that highlighted the town’s rich culture, customs, and social unity.
The Paralympics Palaro, which was held to honor people with disabilities (PWDs) for their skills, determination, and essential role in society, was one of the highlights. The spirit of equality, inclusive celebration, and the appreciation of every citizen were all embodied in these games.
The Turungkuhan, which featured a range of traditional and beloved Mauban dishes, also took center stage. It offered homage to regional ingredients and foods that define Mauban’s identity while highlighting the town’s distinctive flavors and rich culinary legacy.
Meanwhile, the Bayle sa Kalye (street dance competition) brought life to the main streets. Young participants eagerly showcased their dancing skills, using vibrant costumes, upbeat music, and imaginative choreography to bring the history, culture, and customs of the Mauban people to life.
The public is invited to participate in and revisit the exciting activities of the Maubanog Festival, a celebration that not only brings joy to residents and visitors alike, but also serves as a means of preserving and celebrating Mauban’s rich heritage and culture /Lee Amion.
