Northern Quezon Ports Reopen as PAGASA Advisory Clears Sea Travel.

Admin July 13, 2026 1 min read

Following the lifting of the stormy warning related to Typhoon Inday by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), sea transportation operations in northern Quezon province have resumed. Following PAGASA’s advisory indicating improved weather and sea conditions in the area, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) station in Real, Quezon announced the lifting of the sailing suspension.

The affected area includes the Polillo Group of Islands, comprising the municipalities of Polillo, Burdeos, Panukulan, Jomalig, and Patnanungan.  Authorities have established that conditions are safe for navigation, so ferry services and other marine activities are now permitted to continue.

Due to rough and extremely rough seas brought on by Typhoon Inday’s strong winds, the PCG had earlier in the week temporarily banned the movement of small vessels, including passenger boats and fishing boats with a gross tonnage of 250 or less. The travel restrictions have now been lifted due to the improving weather, enabling regular sea travel operations to resume /Lee Amion.
