
QUEZON CITY, Philippines — Governor Dr. Helen Tan personally visited the Cancer Care Center of the East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) on Friday, July 31, as part of the Provincial Government of Quezon’s continuing efforts to enhance and expand cancer care services for Quezon residents.
Accompanying the governor during the visit were Provincial Health Officer II Dr. Kristin Mae-Jean Villaseñor and Engr. Marichelle Ferrer. The delegation toured the facility to assess its medical infrastructure, advanced equipment, and specialized services for patients requiring comprehensive cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care.
The visit aimed to gather insights and best practices that could support the development of improved healthcare programs and initiatives in Quezon Province. By studying EAMC’s cancer care model, the provincial government hopes to further strengthen access to quality, modern, and patient-centered healthcare services for its constituents.
The initiative forms part of the administration’s broader commitment to improving healthcare delivery across the province, particularly for individuals battling cancer.
