
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr. personally visited Lucena City on Tuesday, July 21, to lead the delivery of various government programs and services for the public; he was warmly welcomed by Governor Dr. Helen Tan, Vice Governor Third Alcala, and Lucena City Mayor Mark Alcala.
During his visit, the President personally distributed various forms of government assistance and program benefits, including Certificates of Entitlement to Lucena families under the Expanded “Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino” (4PH) Program. Financial assistance was also awarded to Presidential Scholars, and 10-kilogram sacks of rice were distributed to 52,000 beneficiaries from Lucena.
President Marcos Jr. also joined Governor Tan in inspecting the new Lucena Port Passenger Terminal Building currently under construction; the facility is expected to provide a safer, more organized, and more comfortable environment for passengers waiting at the Port of Lucena.
The Provincial Government of Quezon, led by Governor Dr. Helen Tan, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the government agencies and officials who partnered in the successful execution of the program. Among them were Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez, representatives from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), and Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) General Manager Jay Santiago.
