The Quezon Provincial Government successfully held a Meet and Greet and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony for scholars under the One Family, One College Graduate Scholarship Program and the Priority Courses Scholarship and Return of Service Program on July 20 as part of its ongoing commitment to increasing access to high-quality education and offering more opportunities for young Quezonians.
Governor Doktora Helen Tan, Executive Assistant Attorney, presided over the event. Together with the Provincial Scholarship Unit, Mervin Manalo and John Francis Luzano, Deputy Chief of Staff. For the chosen recipients, the program officially signaled the start of their scholarship journey.
The MOA, which describes their rights, benefits, and obligations as provincial scholars, was signed by 43 recipients of the One Family, One College Graduate Scholarship Program and 25 recipients of the Priority Courses Scholarship and Return of Service Program.
Governor Tan stressed in her speech that being a scholar is both an honor and a duty. Thousands of students wanted to participate in the program, she said, but those who were chosen must show diligence, discipline, and dedication in adhering to all rules established by the Scholarship Unit in order to keep their scholarship awards.
Meanwhile, the Quezon Provincial Government is steadfast in its resolve to use education as a vital tool for producing more qualified and capable professionals from Quezon Province. /Lee Amion
