
On July 20, 2026, at the Quezon Convention Center in Lucena City, the Quezon Provincial Public Employment Service Office (QPPESO), under the direction of PESO Manager Ms. Genecille P. Aguirre, led the customary flag-raising ceremony. The Quezon Provincial Legal Office (QPLO) and the Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (QPDRRMO) made significant announcements during the event, and the office also showcased its achievements from January to June 2026.
The Youth Employment Program, the Migration and Development Program, Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS), referral and placement services, labor market information, career development support programs, livelihood and skills training, participation in various inter-agency committees, and other services targeted at increasing employment and livelihood opportunities for Quezonians were all highlighted by QPPESO through an Audio-Visual Presentation (AVP).
Among the highlights presented was QPPESO’s partnership with the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation for the Iskolar ni Juan Tech-Voc Scholarship Program. Out of 142 applicants, 15 scholars were selected and granted a one-year technical-vocational scholarship. They are currently undergoing training, which will open employment opportunities with partner industries upon completion of the program.
QPPESO’s remarkable 99.24% Overall Client Satisfaction Rate, which reflects the high degree of satisfaction among clients who have benefited from its services, demonstrates the office’s dedication to providing high-quality public service.
Meanwhile, the Quezon Provincial Legal Office, in partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) – Quezon Chapter, announced the upcoming Youth Legal Aid Caravan on Friday, July 24, at Gulang-Gulang National High School from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event will feature lectures for senior high school students on cybersecurity and other important laws, alongside free legal consultation and notarial services for the public.
Furthermore, the public was invited to take part in the blood drive this July 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the third floor of Pacific Mall, Brgy, by the Quezon Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. III, Lucena City, in honor of National Disaster Resilience Month. /Lee Amion
