Renvin Michael Bernardo, a Grade 1 student from BHC Educational Institution in San Fernando City, La Union, conquered the International Cube Challenges by scoring a flawless, perfect mark in the English competition. Facing down a 13-nation field, the young prodigy proved he is a multi-disciplinary powerhouse by also capturing a gold medal in Science and a silver in the Math Cube category.
Bernardo’s spectacular run spearheaded a massive medal haul for the 20-member Mathematics Trainers’ Guild Philippines delegation. In the English division, Zamboanga Chong Hua High School standouts Gavin Chad Go, Williane Kelsey Chiong, and Cyrus Carl Manarang all secured gold medals of their own. The team proved equally unstoppable in Science, where Gavin Chad Go, Cyrus Carl Manarang, and Cyris Chad Manarang swept up additional golds.
The high-stakes event, organized by the Macau Cultural and Creative Integrated Services at the Hotel Royal, brought together top young minds from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Myanmar, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Vietnam, Hong Kong, and host Macau.
